The Thankful Heart series began just after my 40th Birthday. I was ready to take my blog somewhere new, but wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do. About a week before my birthday, Ann Voskamp had her 40th birthday and wrote about how she did it! Her birthday story inspired me and God birthed in me the desire to write about things I'm thankful for over the course of a year.
I have noticed a remarkable change in me since I started writing the Thankful Heart series, and I'm grateful to God for filling me with joy. He has sustained me and brought me through hopelessness, depression and despair. He has replaced my sorrow with gladness and has brought new life to my dreams.
